Exciting Changes Are Coming to Better Serve Our Patients

Kingwood Chiropractic Spine and Injury Center will soon be integrated with Post Acute Specialist's Medical Partnership. This integrated healthcare model allows our chiropractic office to work collaboratively with medical providers while keeping chiropractic care at the center of your treatment. Our goal is simple:

To provide you with the highest level of coordinated care while making the insurance process smoother whenever possible.

We Will Be Accepting Most Major Health Insurance Plans

As part of this new integrated healthcare model, we will be in network with more than 85 health insurance plans, including:

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS)
  • Aetna
  • Cigna
  • UnitedHealthcare (UHC)
  • Tricare
  • Humana
  • And many more

If you have health insurance, our team will gladly verify your benefits before your first visit and explain any applicable deductibles, copays, or coinsurance.

Patient Care

Our New Patient Process

As part of our new integrated healthcare model, new patients using health insurance will begin their care with a brief telemedicine consultation with one of our partnering medical doctors.

This telemedicine consultation takes place right here in our office immediately before your first chiropractic examination with Dr. Tyler Hamel.

Following the telemedicine consultation, you will proceed directly to your comprehensive chiropractic evaluation.

This process is designed to ensure every patient receives a thorough medical screening while allowing chiropractic care to remain the primary focus of treatment whenever appropriate.

Working together from the very beginning helps create a coordinated treatment plan and establishes the medical documentation that many health insurance plans require.

Integrated Healthcare

Why Are We Making This Change?

Healthcare and insurance requirements have changed significantly over the years. Many health insurance plans now require additional documentation, demonstration of medical necessity, and coordinated care before approving certain services or extended treatment.

Because of these evolving requirements, many chiropractic offices have chosen to leave insurance networks altogether.

Rather than limiting the care our patients receive, we have chosen to partner with a medical team that supports comprehensive, evidence-based patient care while allowing chiropractic care to remain the cornerstone of treatment.

This model is very similar to how physical therapy has operated for many years. A medical doctor evaluates the patient, establishes medical necessity when appropriate, and refers the patient for treatment. Our integrated chiropractic model follows this same coordinated approach while allowing chiropractic care to remain the primary treatment for musculoskeletal conditions whenever appropriate.

How This Benefits You

As our patient, you may benefit from:

  • Access to more than 85 in-network insurance plans
  • A brief telemedicine consultation with a medical doctor before your first chiropractic visit, conveniently completed in our office
  • A more comprehensive evaluation of your injury or condition
  • Your chiropractor and medical doctor working together as one coordinated healthcare team
  • Greater confidence that the most accurate diagnosis and treatment plan are being developed
  • Reduced risk of missing injuries that may require additional testing or specialist care
  • Medical documentation that helps support insurance requirements for medical necessity when applicable
  • Depending on your diagnosis and insurance benefits, access to a broader range of chiropractic therapies and rehabilitation services
  • Your chiropractor remains the primary provider directing your chiropractic treatment while collaborating closely with the medical team
  • A smoother process if advanced testing such as MRI, CT scan, EMG, nerve conduction studies, laboratory testing, or specialist referrals become necessary
  • More efficient coordination with orthopedic specialists, neurologists, pain management physicians, and other healthcare providers when needed

What to Expect on Your First Visit

  • Complete your new patient paperwork.
  • Meet with one of our partnering medical doctors through a secure telemedicine consultation conducted in our office.
  • Immediately afterward, undergo your comprehensive chiropractic examination with Dr. Tyler Hamel.
  • If chiropractic care is appropriate, your treatment can typically begin during the same visit.
  • If additional testing or specialist evaluation is needed, we will coordinate those referrals for you.

This streamlined process allows you to receive comprehensive, coordinated care in one location while minimizing unnecessary delays.

Our Care Standard

A Better Experience for Our Patients

When a medical doctor refers you for chiropractic care, it creates coordinated documentation between your healthcare providers that may help support medical necessity when required by your health plan.

This coordinated approach has been the standard model for physical therapy for many years. We believe chiropractic patients deserve access to the same level of integrated healthcare.

Our Commitment

Our patients continue to receive chiropractic care from Dr. Tyler Hamel. The difference is that your care is now supported by an integrated medical team when appropriate, providing greater coordination, improved documentation, and easier access to advanced diagnostics and specialists.

Our mission has always been to provide exceptional chiropractic care based on an accurate diagnosis, individualized treatment, and the highest standard of patient care.

This partnership allows us to continue placing chiropractic at the center of your recovery while providing access to additional medical resources whenever they are needed.

We are committed to delivering comprehensive, coordinated, patient-centered care that helps you recover as safely, effectively, and completely as possible.
